Anne Vogt Jewelry fine handcrafted sterling silver jewelry featuring rare and unusual gemstones

About Anne
I create this hand fabricated jewelry in my Colorado
studio in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. I have
been making jewelry for over 30 years, initially just
part time. I began by bead-stringing and making
earrings out of brass and beads. Early days
included gypsy-like travels and a year as a street
artist in San Francisco.
Later, while I was in graduate school at the
University of Michigan, I apprenticed with a
goldsmith who was a great inspiration to me.
After I finished my degrees in speech and
language pathology, I worked first with language
disordered adolescents near New Orleans, then
with stroke and head injury victims in a
rehabilitation hospital in Colorado. I continued
to make jewelry during this time, participating in
only 2 art shows a year, the Ann Arbor Art Fair,
and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. I
took several jewelry classes to learn techniques
for surface embellishment, patina creation,
casting, and tool-making.

My life is a happy one and I love living in the
mountains. I look forward each morning to working in
my beautiful studio which overlooks the mountains,
dense woods, and often large herds of elk and deer.
